The World Economy and the Emergence of the Antichrist

I have been meaning to write about this subject for a long time now. One of the many characteristics that the Anti-Christ will demontrate will be his ability to succeed in business. He will be highly successful in the business world and be seen as an economic genius.

On the news today, like many times before, the world markets have taken a dramatic fall. Economic woes exist in every corner of the world. America is heavily in debt to the tune of 13.6 trillion dollars and the Eurozone is in state of suspended economic growth and on the verge of collapse. Even Germany, which is seen as the powerhouse of the Eurozone, has recently experienced a GDP growth of just 0.2%. Such a dire situation has lead to some chief economists stating that there is little hope of a recovery. Bemused, I also read the other day that Apple the company has more money in the bank than the whole of the American economy! America is not the nation of strength is used to be. We are told in the Word, that our Father builds and tears down nations and empires according to His purposes for the time.

Whether or not we recover out of this woeful economic time remains to be seen but there is one thing we can be sure about. One of the many ways that the Anti-Christ emerges onto the world scene is through his reputation as an economic genius. He will be seen by many to have the answers to all the problems of the world’s economic woes. He will emerge at a time when the world will be experiencing great economic instability. Many countries and their inhabitants will put their trust in this man. Are we now at the beginning of this time?

I am new to blogging and i really appreciate your content. The article has really interested me. I am going to bookmark your site and keep checking for new information.

Hi James! I think that it is very important that you quote scripture on your blogs and not just comments on what you think this one and that one will do. Quoting the actual scripture(s) will help immensly in people backing you or attacking you. OK then, so the Antichrist will be a financial wizard – but is this not mostly due to his attacking and raping other countries?? He will indeed be a master of the occult – black magic, Luciferianism – which leads to gold…but how does he gain this gold?? Blessings – Ed

Thanks Ed. I am always happy to quote scripture to those who ask but what I can’t declare unto you, and others, in this post is a definitive statement that the present economic woes of the world is for definite the scene being set for the rise of the Antichrist. I would be wrong to attribute scripture to support any speculation because only God knows when this will happen. However, we are called to watch and judge the signs of the times and so asking the question ‘Are we now at the beginning of this time?’ is appropriate and benefits us all.

The kingdoms of this world are presently controlled by Lucifer and we know this when Jesus Christ was tempted by the Devil in the wilderness:

‘Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.’ (Matthew 4:8&9).

So we know that the Devil has temporary control over the world and its systems until Jesus Christ returns to reclaim it. It is prophesied that when the Fifth angel sounds the fifth trumpet in Revelation, a great star which has fallen from heaven opens the bottomless pit and releases many devil spirits including the beast. The Book of Revelation refers to a man – the Antichrist being possessed by Abaddon, who is the beast (Revelation 9). It is only at this point we have the Antichrist and not before.

The Antichrist then goes about the business of Lucifer to try and usurp the throne of God. This man will have the beast embodied within him and he is described as being wiser than even Daniel the Prophet himself. The systems of this world will be easily controlled by him – no one will be able to usurp his position until Christ returns.

The book of Daniel shows us of his deeds and actions. In Daniel 8 it proclaims,

‘And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.’ (Daniel 8:24).

Also he will “devour the whole earth” (Dan 7:23) and he will rule them by their own agreement and with absolute, total authority (Dan 11:36). Revelation 8:15&16 also proclaims that
‘And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads.’ Additionally, it states that those who fail to receive the mark won’t be able to buy or sell. The Antichrist will also control the laws of the nations.

Daniel 11:36-39 tells us more of his prosperity and super arrogance: ‘And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.’

Consider also that Timothy speaks of people having ‘itching ears’ – this world will be crying out for a saviour to lead them into economic stability and peace between nations. He will fool the world by doing this but it will only be for a short time.

However, with all these things, God in his sovereignty allows the Antichrist to rise up. It is our Father who builds and tears down nations and empires. The world scene/stage will be set for his rise to power. I believe that nobody knows the exact time when this will happen, unless they have received revelation from Father, but it is plain to see that the world has entered into an unprecedented global economic time. This indeed could be a pre-requisite to the eventual emergence of the Antichrist. My own personal belief is that we are entering into this time. Bless you Ed.

Hi James, Christ is coming back first and then the Anti-Christ will be released. Unless you show me the contrary by Scriptures. Bless you

Hi Muriel,

There was a time when I too believed that our Lord would return before the Antichrist appears. I simply trusted and accepted the teachings that others had taught me beforehand without properly studying for myself what the Word of God actually states. At that time I failed to compare the accuracy of the Word against what I was being taught. However, a few years ago we began our research to fully understand the rightly divided truth on this matter. I am sure that you understand how important it is for every Christian or Christian leader to have the correct understanding on this subject. If we are not raptured or gathered together before the Antichrist appears then we could be standing foolishly unprepared for the most troublesome time ahead. Even greater, we could be standing unprepared for the role that our Father expects us to carry-out in that time. So it is paramount to understand the accuracy of the Word on this subject if we are to prepare our hearts and minds for the future.

I also understand that the subject of the rapture can be very emotive amongst Christians. There is so much confusion and mis-understanding in Christendom but we all need to get this right in accordance to our Fathers understanding. I also understand how some Christians may feel anxious and even angry when they are presented with the truth here. However those who reject the truth are in danger from departing from the faith in the future as it states in 1 Timothy 4:1. So I encourage all my brothers and sisters to prepare their hearts and minds beforehand. However to do this I truly believe they must work through His prophetic Word accurately themselves concerning the time of when our Lord will gather us together. We all need to make this part of the Word our own by putting it deeply routed in our hearts. This will enable us to prepare as douloses/sold out servants for the time ahead.

We have extensively researched the Word on this subject and so I am not going to quote scripture to scripture to you here. We still have more material to be released into the public domain but please take some time for yourself to read and listen to the research we have put out there (just click on the titles below):
