The World is Clearly Divided Regarding Bashar al-Assad

The Middle East has often been a hot bed of intricate political chaos but Bashar al-Assad and his regime continue to clearly divide the world into two camps. The support for Bashar al-Assad is quite unprecedented. The great nuclear super powers of Russia and China out rightly support him. They have continued to veto taking military action against him at the UN. In the last few days Putin has used the G20 to publicly strengthen his stance against President Barack Obama’s intention to deploy a military strike against the Syrian government. Obama and several other world leaders have accused Assad of using chemical weapons against his own people.

Interestingly, Israel has kept silent in the midst of all this debate but some of those supporting Assad have spoken about attacking Israel if Syria is attacked. Furthermore, the divide between the world’s superpowers regarding Syria, as well as the existing tensions in the Middle East, will likely escalate the entire situation to where the world has never been before. However, many questions have yet to be answered.

For us, God does not declare in His Word the dates of when prophecy will be fulfilled, but we do know bible prophecy is Middle-East and Israel centric. Before the final 7 years occur the world stage will need to have been prepared. This stage is now being set before our eyes. As God’s children we are instructed to watch and be aware regarding what’s happening around us. So let’s watch!!

The Dread of the Lord and Calling All Elders!

Posted by Mark Atkinson under The Book of Revelation.net (No Respond)

My brothers in the Lord, He is coming back sooner than most realise. Let us prepare the Body of Christ for his return. He wants us ready and He wants us to know and be wise. He wants us perfect in His love, to be found faithful to all of His Word in that day. This is our work today. Let’s declare it from the rooftops. The time is so serious: we are facing the final years and many are sleeping and blind like drunkards, even in the Church. Pray that our hearts may be found as he is, that like as he is so we too in this world. Pray, be moved, cry out to Him, earnestly desire this for He is coming. Let us work to prepare all in the Body of Christ for His coming.

The world is “gloriously” building its road to perdition, let none of us be found on it. They build it in arrogant defiance in the face of JAH and things are getting worse. Malachi told us that the day to come will burn as an oven, and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: the day that is coming shall burn them up says the Lord of all the armies in the heavens. That day shall leave the wicked neither root nor branch. No evil shall abide when He comes. None of the wicked shall stand. None will be able to abide His presence. None of them.

When the Lord appears, what a raging fire in His presence. Few know the dread of the Lord, but every man will know. Every man will see it. To some it will be a terrible sight to behold. Many will try to run, but there will be no place to go, no hiding place. The lightning of His presence will be a frightening sight for them to behold. Hearts of grown men shall melt and the wicked will stagger as the Lord makes them drunk in His fury. Grown men will mourn. Fright will consume the hearts of many. A terrible sight. Where will their arrogant defiance get them in that day?

Let us be found to be with Him in that day praising JAH Almighty for His righteous judgments, not doing the wicked ways of the world. Let us find His dread a comfort and a cause for joyful singing. The fire will try every man’s work, of what sort it is. Whosoever work remains, they will receive a reward.

The Seat of Satan (an extract from “Thy Kingdom Come”, a new book from Mark Atkinson)

Posted by Mark Atkinson under The Book of Revelation.net (1 Respond)

Satan’s Seat

The Bible tells us that in the future, after being cast out of heaven, the Devil will take up his seat of government in the Middle East. The Middle Eastern nations are antichrist in their values and even today are being prepared by Satan to become his seat of government on earth in the End Times. It is sufficient for the moment to simply hear the Lord’s word on this in the Book of Revelation:

“And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write ….
… where thou dwellest, even where Satan seat is ….. where Satan dwelleth” (Revelation 2:12-13)

If you read these verses carefully, you will notice that the Lord is not saying that seat of Satan is in Pergamos in a restricted sense, but rather Pergamos is in the area of where Satan’s seat will be established. The Lord says that the believers in Pergamos dwell in the area where Satan will dwell and have his seat of government. This area is in the Middle East. Pergamos is in Turkey, which in future will form part of the Beast Kingdom, a conglomerate of Middle Eastern nations. Satan will dwell wherever his seat of government is established. In the future, after he is cast out of heaven, Pergamos will be in that area on the earth where he will have his stronghold and from where he will continue his work.

Underground Bunkers

Posted by Mark Atkinson under The Book of Revelation.net (No Respond)

It’s no secret that the leaders in many countries have built underground bunkers to be used in the event of a major catastrophe or war. But will they be able to use them to hide from the face of JAH and the wrath of the Lamb? In the day to come, they will indeed try:

“And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
For the great day of his wrath is come…” (Revelation 6:15-17a)

But in that day there will be no place to hide.

Happy to spit in the face of God

Posted by Mark Atkinson under The Book of Revelation.net (2 Responds)

As we draw closer to the final seven years before the Lord returns, we can expect many more changes in laws, culture and thinking that are increasingly anti God. In the last decades we have witnessed major shifts away from the traditional Christian values that were previously the bedrock and very fabric of our societies and cultures. The so called “freedom movement” in the sixties was used by the Adversary to stretch young adults’ minds beyond the established moral values of the social culture that then was. The rise of the university machine from the 70′s onwards brainwashed the minds of the majority of young adults attending and basically fashioned their minds into a very deceptive form of secularism in which they gleefully thought was mental freedom. We now live in a different era. The post modern, post Christian world is indeed a heaven to the wicked, but it has started racing towards the finishing line. Time itself is sufficient to show the error of their ways, but it will then be too late for the Antichrist and the False Prophet, their heart’s desire, will have been given to them. Judgment from JAH will be upon them. And they will still be gleeful in their ignorance saying “peace and safety, peace and safety” and “we have no need of God, we are our own God, we are free”..

The Apostle Paul prophesied of the forsaking in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. It refers to mankind leaving behind all religion in order to embrace the Antichrist. Satan will not suffer the world’s religions in the day when he demands mankind’s worship. This forsaking has already begun to take place in the UK, the USA and other parts of the world. In this post modern, post Christian world, the forsaking has started well and is also racing towards the finishing line. The faith is quickly leaving our schools. The prayers at council chambers are no longer said before meetings start. The traditional church has become a laughing stock because it has lost the Word and is the poor relation of national government. Leaders rule the country without Christ. And laws are being passed by the plenty which are diametrically opposed to the laws of God. The land and everything and everybody in it belong to JAH. Man has conveniently forgotten whose name is on the title deed; he spits in the face of God as he continues gleefully in his delusion.

How long will JAH suffer this to be? How long?

The Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing – False Teachers in the Church

Posted by Mark Atkinson under The Book of Revelation.net (No Respond)

The presence of false teachers in the Church is no new thing. The Bible shows us that they were in abundance in the first century church. The Apostle Paul said that after his death, grievous wolves would come in not sparing the flock. The imagery of a wolf tearing apart the sheep is a very graphic one. Physically, to witness a wolf attack a sheep is a dreadful sight, but how much more abhorrent is a spiritual wolf in sheep’s clothing entering the sheep fold and tearing apart the sheep in a spiritual sense. The fold is the Church, the body of Christ; the sheep are the sons of God; and the wolves in sheep’s clothing are those Christian ministers who bring falsehood, wrong teaching and errors which lead the flock of God away from the narrow road that leads to wholeness. They do this in the name of Jesus Christ, uttering words like God bless and teaching from the Bible. They lead the sheep towards destruction through their own love of the error of the wicked. They don’t spare the flock but they devour them. Behind them is Satan whose mouth is open wide. He eats up the people of God without ever being satisfied. He wants more and more.

Those who have been devoured in these ways are most unlikely to realise it. Some have been devoured beyond recognition so that the image of Christ is no longer recognisable in them. In Galatians 4:19, it happened to many Christians in the Galatian church. Christ was no longer recognisable in them. The Apostle Paul said he laboured again with them so that Christ could be formed in their hearts. Others have been devoured in part or in varying degrees. This is all a matter of the heart. Satan wants our hearts. The Lord wants our hearts. We have been taught by the Lord that it is a battle for the heart. He wants to grow us up in the liberty of God’s truth so that we may be free indeed. He wants us to grow up in His image, to be fashioned into Him which is through the narrow gate that leads to life. Ephesians 4:15 shows us God’s will: we are to grow up into the head of the one body which is Christ. We are to grow up into Christ in all things that Christ is. And Ephesians 3:17 shows us that Christ is to dwell in our hearts so that we become as he is, and so that we will look like him spiritually. Paul said that the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery was for the obedience of faith.

These wonderful truths are part of the Great Mystery that the Apostle Paul taught the Church. He said that this Great Mystery is how the Almighty Father wants the Church to be governed. He said that this Great Mystery is how we become obedient to God. He said that all Christian ministers should first be proven in this Great Mystery and shown to be blameless in it, that they should hold this Great Mystery in their hearts strongly and ably so as to teach the flock of God properly. If we take an honest look at these instructions in the Bible, we can see who are the false teachers today. The wolves in sheep’s clothing today are all those Christian ministers who fail to teach the sheep the ways of the Lord in the Great Mystery. They deny it, or twist it, or dilute it, or refuse it. They suppress the truth and keep the flock from finding out the true way to wholeness. The Apostle Paul instructed Timothy to charge some leaders that they teach no other doctrine, but rather that they should teach the Great Mystery.

So who are those Christian ministers today who do not teach this Great Mystery but teach other things? The list would be long indeed. They do not have the fruits of Christ in their heart. They don’t look like him spiritually. They look like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

How these false teachers, wolves in sheep’s clothing, keep the Church from the obedience of faith.

Absurd reasons not to read the Book of Revelation

Posted by Mark Atkinson under Mark Atkinson, The Book of Revelation.net (2 Responds)

Here are ten outrageous reasons spoken by so-called faithful Christians as to why NOT to read the Book of Revelation. It would be interesting to see what others have heard also. Here goes:
1. It’s a bunch of garbage!
2. I don’t want to read about monsters!
3. It’s not written to the Church!
4. We won’t be here when it happens!
5. It can’t be understood!
6. The Jehovah witnesses have put me off!
7. It has already happened!
8. There are so many different interpretations, I don’t know which ones are right!
9. We can’t know what it means until it happens, so I’ll wait until then!
10. It shouldn’t have been included in the Bible anyway!

Yes, I have heard all these phrases from the mouth of those professing loyalty to our Lord Jesus Christ. I’m sure there have been many other crazy things spoken – let us know what you have heard. This is so absurd!

And here are ten godly reasons why we should all read the Book of Revelation:
1. The Lord says “Blessed is he that readeth” (Rev 1:3a)
2. “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life….” (Rev 22:19a)
3. All Scripture is required to perfect our hearts (2Tim 3:16-17).
4. If you don’t know the truth about the time ahead, then you can be deceived.
5. I want to know the Lord’s will in that day.
6. I don’t want to remain Biblically illiterate about the End Times.
7. It’s God’s Word; and He gave it.
8. Watch! (what should watching out for?)
9. It’s part of the Hope!
10. The real title is “The Unveiling of Jesus Christ”.

As we get closer to the final seven years, the persecution of the saints will increase as our adversary Lucifer prepares the ground for the rise of the Man of Perdition, the Antichrist. Here are some links and articles I found on the web today about the plight of our brothers and sisters presently around the world.

Article 1

Article 2

Let us pray for our brother’s and sisters who are being persecuted daily for their witness of Jesus Christ. Let us not bury our heads in the sand but understand how the times are moving. Let us walk and talk in His love preparing our hearts for the future.

The World is Not Going to End in 2012

Posted by Mark Atkinson under The Book of Revelation.net (3 Responds)

According to Jah, the true God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the world is not going to end in 2012.

There have been films, documentaries, articles, books, magazines, newspapers, websites, blogs and many communications promoting the 2012 idea of the end. But have you stopped to consider what is behind the 2012 furore? Some may say money, others will cite fear-mongering,and others may point to conspiracy or even control, whether religious, mental or spiritual. Others will think it’s just an outright silly belief that is laughable! Well, all of these have a part to play but the real driving force behind the 2012 prediction is the Adversary, who we also know as Satan or Lucifer. Read More…

The Word of God Does not Promise Blanket Immunity from the Adversary’s Persecutions.

Posted by Mark Atkinson under Mark Atkinson (3 Responds)

Jesus and the apostles prophesied of a period of time ahead when the followers of God would be persecuted even to the point of death. They were referring to something very specific i.e. during a particular time period during the last days before Jesus’ return. It’s surprising how dull of hearing it is possible to become and not actually hear such words.
There is a present day belief among our Christian brothers and sisters that the Church will be spared all such dangerous things, but that is naive at best and dangerous plus disobedient to God’s Word at worst. Read More…

Is Mankind Really the Master of its Own Destiny?

For a longtime now many in the Western world have believed that they are the masters of their own destiny. Even Gordon Brown, the ex-prime minister to the UK, once declared that the boom and bust years were over – just how wrong he was and maybe he should have heeded to the prophetic Word before declaring such a thing.

Today many of our leaders from both political and economic quarters are scratching their heads, trying to drive and steer the global economy out of the unprecedented turmoil that lies ahead. Many times have they tried but failed miserably with such huge injections of capital into the banks, as well as quantative easing. But why, you may ask, are these things failing so spectacularly, when the most powerful leaders are spending eye watering amounts of money but with non-effect? This brings us to the main question – is mankind really the master of its own destiny? Read More…

The Horn of Africa

Posted by James Atkinson under The beginning of sorrows (2 Responds)

I saw a map today in one of the broad-sheets that showed the extent of the present draught effecting the Horn of Africa, with the worst affected country being Ethiopia. Journalists are reporting that this is the worst draught in this region of the world for more than 60 years – even worse than what was seen in the 1980′s. The situation is so desperate that the Ethiopian people are feeding their cattle on the straw from their thatched roofs just to keep them alive.  It hasn’t rained there now for 2 years and widespread famine has become a reality. When I first read this article my immediate thoughts questioned whether or not we are in the time of the birth pangs, or the beginning of sorrows as described in the Word. Read More…

Has the Church Already Departed From the Faith?

Posted by Mark Atkinson under The Book of Revelation.net (1 Respond)

The true faith is the gospel of the Great Mystery that was given to Paul. In Romans 16:25-26, we read about the obedience of faith which comes after living and walking in the truths of the Great Mystery that was given to the Apostle Paul for this Church Age – the true faith.

In 1 Timothy 4:1, Paul wrote to Timothy saying “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” The word depart here is aphistemi in the Greek and it means to stand away from. The church today stands away from the faith that was revealed to the Apostle Paul. Read More…

Is the Sweeping Political Reform in the Middle East a Pre-Requisite for the Coming of the Antichrist?

Posted by James Atkinson under The Middle East (No Respond)

The Word tells us that one day Israel will be trodden under foot by Islamic nations but many of these nations today have many factions and schisms. For example, we have seen in Iraq how Shiites and Sunnis have conflicted with each other even to the point of bloodshed and how the relationship between Hamas and Fatah has presented a weak and divided Palestinian front, in the face of Israel and to the rest of the world.

To understand the Middle East situation today as just Islam versus Israel would be an over simplified view. We must see it as this but also with many other minor conflicts between various groups and even nations. Democracy may indeed be the key to unifying a common purposes in the Islamic Middle East to bring about a unified crusade against Israel in the years to come. Read More…
